I’ve picked some upsets. Which ones? I’m not telling you now, read and scroll down.   Last Week Overall Record: 15-5   Current Overall Record: 59-21   INLAND EMPIRE GAMES OF THE WEEK   Last Week IE Record: 2-3   Overall IE Record: 14-6   No. 7 Mission Viejo (4-0) at No. 9 Upland (3-0), Friday, 7:30pm   Manny's Pick: Upland   I wouldn't call this an upset, but the Scots are ranked two spots below. Regardless, I'm going with a pair of Davis with RB Cameron and WR Taj. The Diablos have been playing somewhat close games and facing a team stronger than the previous four games will be trouble. Arizona State-commit QB Joey Yellen will try to get Mission Viejo another victory, but I'm going with Upland.   No. 6 Cajon of San...

Just because your team lost, doesn’t disqualify you from the SoCal Student Section voting poll. Two of the best student sections went all out despite the loss on the field while two other student sections got a win in the stands and the football field. In the end, it was a student section that had been a powerhouse for the last several years, but disappeared last season. Let’s meet the finalists. The Eagles Nest of Santa Margarita of Rancho Santa Margarita came in as the Orange County rep after soaring in the stands in a tough loss to Cherry Creek of Colorado. This student section packs the stands with their creative chants. This is a very consistent student section. Making their second appearance to the finalists stage is the Carlsbad Loud Crowd repping San Diego....

It’s going to be a long day for LB Andrew Berrueco and the Narbonne defense. Just like last year, Centennial wins big.    No. 20 Norco (2-1) at Vista Murrieta (1-1), Friday, 7pm Manny’s Pick: Norco The Cougars have DB Brandon Bos on defense and RB DJ...

After over 2000 votes in last week Twitter poll, the Los Altos Conqueror Crazies shut the polls down in a lopsided victory for the Southern California Student Section of the week.   Fin fact; this is the second straight week our student section of the week starts with a Los. Good news for the Los Alamitos Goonsquad this Friday.   It should be no surprise as the Conqueror Crazies have always been one of the best student sections in the Los Angeles area. This is the first time I have had the opportunity to name Los Altos the So Cal Student Section of the Week.   The Conqueror Crazies had three big time opponents in Southern California. They are top notch student sections, but Los Altos of Hacienda Heights took control of the voting section....
I’m starting to get the hang of this. I know how to pick teams and I also have just jinxed myself. Let’s see if I did. Here are my Week 2 picks of the best games in SoCal for this week.   Last Week Record: 15-5   Overall Record: 29-11   MANNY’S INLAND EMPIRE GAMES OF THE WEEK   Last Week IE Record: 4-1   Overall IE Record: 8-2   Pittsburg (1-1) at No. 3 Centennial of Corona (2-0), Friday, 7pm   Manny’s Pick: Centennial   Gary Bryant Jr. has been unstoppable these last two games regardless if Carter Freedland or Ala Mikaele is at quarterback. With school not in session yet, it looked like maybe Week Zero will start with a fizzle up in the student section.   WRONG! The football stands were filled with school pride, baby powder and apparently fog machines.   Several student sections for the football season off to a great start and it is a good sign that this season should be a fun one on the field and apparently off the field.   We had four student sections across Southern California that caught our eye. We also noticed other student sections that felt they were somewhat cheated. Not to worry, you have 10 more weeks to prove if you are the best student section in Southern California.   Of course we had the Loud Crowd of Carlsbad representing San Diego region to start off...
Not a bad start to my picks in Week Zero after going 16-4 on my picks. My apologies to Santiago of Corona, Woodbridge of Irvine, La Costa Canyon of Carlsbad and Carlsbad. I should have never doubted you. I must have not had any trust in the Carlsbad teams last week.   Here’s my Week 1 picks;   LAST WEEK’S OVERALL RECORD: 16-4   MANNY’S TOP 5 INLAND EMPIRE GAMES   LAST WEEK INLAND EMPIRE RECORD: 4-1   No. 6 Orange Lutheran (1-0) vs. No. 4 Centennial of Corona (1-0) at Orange Coast College of Costa Mesa, Friday, 7:30pm   Manny’s Pick: Centennial   Centennial came away with a very impressive win over Nationally ranked Chandler of Arizona thanks to a big game from WR Gary Bryant Jr. With the QB trio of Ala Mikaele...
