I expected a battle for the SoCal Basketball Student Section of the year title, but I didn’t expect it to be that close. Leave to the Damien Pit of La Verne and the Servite Asylum of Anaheim to go toe-to-toe. It was very close. No matter who won, there was no wrong choice. It was a tremendous year in high school basketball and the same could be said for the Student Sections this winter. The gyms were rocking, the chants were loud, crazy and savage like. The themes were insane and for some, rushing the court was a badge of honor. Let’s meet our four SoCal Student Section Finalist and let name the 2018-2019 SoCal Basketball Student Section of the year. The Bishop Montgomery Swaglet of Torrance has built a dynasty in the Los Angeles...

Damien of La Verne (The Pit) The Pit is enjoyed fantastic basketball from the Spartans for years now and this season was no different. The Pit shows up and go wild as not only does Damien have to battle in a loaded Baseline League, but this league is also loaded when it comes to student sections and The Pit stood on top of the rest. “We’d first like to thank our teachers and administration for always having our back through thick and thin,” Pit Leaders Tyler Pugmire and Colin Senise said. “On top of that, there’s no way any of this is possible without our incredible students in the Tri-school community. We also send much appreciation to Coach Mike LeDuc for...

This is a wild student section and a student section that fills the stands and maybe overfills it as proof at the CIF-SDS Open Division Finals when the gate collapsed. It’s no surprise that the Chaos! did that. “There should be no debate,” said Chaos! Leader Connor Jabar. “No one brings the chaos more than the Torrey Pines student section.” https://twitter.com/JGator32/status/1098640171703009282?s=19 A loud and proud student section that saw the Falcons take the title and just like their basketball team, the Torrey Pines Chaos! is the 2019 San Diego Student Section Champion! “When you are cheering for...
